1 in 5 prefer to be with pet over partner on Valentine’s Day
NEW YORK (Reuters) — Rather than spending Valentine’s Day with their partner, one fifth of adults would prefer to be with their pet, although the French still came top for romance, according to a joint global poll by Reuters/Ipsos.
The survey of 24,000 people in 23 countries found 21 percent of adults would rather spend February 14 with their pet than their spouse, although the French were least likely to choose a furry friend over a human with only 10 percent taking that option.

I read this survey a few days before Valentines and unfortunately I have to agree, I know a lot of people that would rather spend days with pets than with people.
I guess that people are too busy to communicate with each other so we turn to pets.
They are always there for us, never lie and return love 10 times bigger than the one we give them.
Still, I vote for people coming back together and getting stress free with friends more than pets.
